The UEFA Europa League is an annual men's association football club competition organized by UEFA since 1971 for eligible European football clubs. It is the second most prestigious European club football contest after the UEFA Champions League. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions.The 2013 UEFA Europa League Final was played between Portuguese team Benfica and English team Chelsea. Chelsea won 2–1 to secure their first title in this competition and will play against the winners of the 2012–13 UEFA Champions League in the 2013 UEFA Super Cup.
